    Skills for the job

    • Enjoy working outdoors; duties take place in varying and sometimes extreme weather.
    • Operate heavy equipment and power tools.
    • Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
    • Perform heavy manual work under confined and uncomfortable conditions.
    • Perform math calculations.
    • Communicate effectively with the public.
    • Respond to emergencies on a 24-hour basis.
    • Regularly lift objects and equipment weighing 25-100 pounds.
    • Some positions require a Class A commercial driver's license.

    Education

    A high school diploma or GED.
